A true symbol of Cornwall, to be called a Cornish Pasty, it has to be made in Cornwall, and be made to a specific recipe. The Cornish Pasty has enjoyed protected status under Protected Food Names legislation for many years.  Cornish pasties are crimped on the side (never on top) and contain potato, swede, onion and beef with salt and pepper seasoning for taste.
